DataDiggers X Quirk’s New York Conference – Was the ‘American Dream’ what you expected? | Part I

We've attended numerous conferences, and each event possesses its own distinctiveness and charm. Our acquaintance with Quirk's is solid, having participated in several of their market research conferences. The prospect of revisiting is always met with delight.

Today, we engaged in conversations with our colleagues Cristian Craciun, Manager of Business Process in Romania, and Zamfir Dunose, Manager of Business Development in Canada. We delved into their perspectives on the conference and their overall impressions of the New York experience.

1. How did the conference meet your initial expectations and what were your impressions of the event's location?

Cristian Craciun: The conference exceeded my initial expectations in many ways. Firstly, the conference organizers had clearly put a lot of effort into planning every aspect of the event, from the registration process to the scheduling of sessions and workshops. This ensured a smooth and seamless experience for all attendees.

Secondly, the quality of the speakers and presentations was outstanding. The conference featured a diverse range of experts from various fields, each delivering insightful and thought-provoking talks, with the topics covered being highly relevant and providing valuable insights into current trends and developments in the industry.

There were numerous scheduled networking sessions, as well as informal gatherings during breaks and

social events in the evenings. These allowed attendees to connect with like-minded professionals, exchange ideas, and establish valuable contacts within their respective industries.

As for the event location, it was truly impressive. The conference took place at a state-of-the-art

convention center located in a vibrant and accessible area. The venue itself was spacious and

well-equipped, providing comfortable seating arrangements, modern audiovisual facilities, and

ample space for exhibitors to showcase their products and services.

Zamfir Dunose: The Quirk's New York Conference 2023 far exceeded my expectations, offering a valuable blend of educational content, in a captivating location - Javits Center was a fantastic choice.

The networking opportunities were also exceptional. I had the chance to connect with fellow professionals, share experiences, and exchange ideas.

Then, the speakers' lineup was exceptional, featuring industry experts and thought leaders who shared valuable knowledge and innovative approaches to various research methodologies and data analysis techniques.

This event has undoubtedly enriched my professional knowledge and network, and I'm already looking forward to the next Quirk's conference.

2. How would you describe your experience in New York? Are you pleased with the

decision to visit?

Cristian Craciun: New York is one of the most vibrant and diverse cities in the world, offering a plethora of experiences for visitors.

The city never sleeps, and there is always something happening at any time of day or night. The streets are filled with people from all walks of life, creating a unique energy that is hard to find elsewhere. The diversity of cultures and cuisines in New York is also remarkable. From street food vendors to Michelin-starred restaurants, there is something to satisfy every plate.

To keep it short, visiting New York is an unforgettable experience filled with endless possibilities.

Zamfir Dunose: The decision to visit New York for the conference was undoubtedly a wise one. Not only did it provide a stimulating professional environment, but it also allowed me to expand my horizons culturally and socially. Networking with fellow conference attendees in such an iconic location added an extra layer of excitement and engagement to the entire experience.

The city's dynamic atmosphere, coupled with the enriching conference content, made for a truly memorable and fulfilling experience. I leave with new insights, valuable connections, and wonderful memories of both the conference and the remarkable city it was held in.

3. How did you manage the time zone difference during your stay?

Zamfir Dunose: My greatest strategy was fully embracing the power of caffeine. I became a walking billboard for coffee shops, sporting a different latte in hand for every session. I mean, who needs a watch when you can gauge time by the number of coffee cups you've

drained, right?

Cristian Craciun: Managing the time zone differences during a stay is definitely challenging, in the end we are speaking about a 7 hours difference, but to be honest it was easier than expected! I guess the coffee helped me quite a lot! The result was worth it, that is for sure!

4. In what ways do you intend to integrate the knowledge and ideas acquired from the conference into your current and future projects?

Zamfir Dunose: The emphasis on AI and machine learning has sparked my curiosity to explore how these technologies can revolutionize my research processes. I'm excited to delve into predictive modeling and sentiment analysis, leveraging AI-powered tools to extract patterns and trends that might have previously gone unnoticed.

Cristian Craciun: I will definitely integrate the knowledge and ideas that I have acquired at the fair in my current and also future projects, but let's keep the mystery for now, some spoilers are going to be

provided soon!
